In
years gone by the only place you could play an authentic
arcade videogame, slot-machine, pool table or jukebox was in
an arcade, amusement centre, bar or pub. In recent years many
people have started buying these machines to have at home.
Either for reasons of nostalgia or convenience having your own
games room or mini-arcade at home is a great way of bringing
thee wonderful pieces of entertainment home.
Some
items are extremely collectable and will fetch a higher price.
Buying games privately can lead to disappointment due to
previous lack of servicing or hidden faults. However, this is
not a worry when buying from UDC as all items for home are
either new or are fully refurbished in our workshops by
skilled engineers.
Certain
items tend to be more suitable for having at home and are
requested much more often. However, we can sell most items we
handle to a home customer. The most popular items are listed
below:
If
you would like an item you do not see listed on this page please
feel free to contact us.
The
most requested Videogames for home tend to be older games, often
called 'Retro Games'.
Would
you like a shooting game like Time Crisis, Virtua Cop or Silent
Scope? Are you
more the driving type and prefer a Sega Rally, Daytona or
Outrun? How about fighting games like Tekken, Virtua Fighter,
Street Fighter? Or are you 'Old Skool' and prefer
Defender, Pac-Man, 1942, Mr.Do!, Centipede, Missile Command and
Space Invaders?
We
can supply many video games in their original cabinets, but some
are now either too rare or too expensive for everyone. However,
do not worry, because of the rise in 'Retro Gaming' there are
companies making authentic reproductions of the original games
for the home market.
We
can supply both new and old games. Sometimes you may need to
wait for us to source a particular game. Mostly we can let you
know if we would be able to supply a particular game right away.
If you have a deadline in mind, perhaps for a birthday present
or special event, please let us know. For older games the better
the condition of the unit the higher the price. In fact, some
old games can end up costing more than newer ones, so if you
have a list of your favourite games let us know and we'll advise
you as to which ones are available.
Games
can be left on coin-operation if desired, or put into a
'freeplay' mode.
Whatever
your Video Game tastes contact us

Football
tables are great for 1-on-1 or multi-player fun. Whether it's at
home with the kids, in a bar, or in the office they can be a
great stress reliever and source of enjoyment. We have three
different models of football tables, all of which are suitable
for the home:
The
smallest and cheapest table is the 'Family' table which is
designed primarily for children. It has an open top playfield.
Next
is the 'College' table which is designed for older children and
teenagers. It is much stronger than the Family table and also
has an open top.
Our
top football table is the 'Premier' table which is designed for
coin-operated use, but can also be played on 'freeplay'. The
Premier comes complete with a toughened glass top that is
removable if desired. It is extremely strong and sturdy and can
take a lot of punishment and is by far our most popular table.
UDC
sell as wide range of Pool tables both new & used for domestic
or coin-operated use. Depending upon the size of the room you have
you may want a table from 6x3ft up to a 8x5ft table. The most
popular size is somewhere in the middle at 7x4ft. The style of the
table can be modern or 'traditional' with turned legs. You can
choose the colour of the wood, the cloth and the type of balls
you'd like. We deal mainly in UK specification pool tables, but we
can supply American style pool tables with bigger balls and
pockets if desired.
One
thing you'll need to keep in mind is whereabouts you are
going to put your table. Going up stairwells and around corners
can be troublesome, as the tables do not disassemble readily,
apart from the cushions, slate and legs. We only deliver Pool
tables to a ground floor location, so you'll want to have plenty
of friends and family on hand to move it up or down stairs if
required.
Make
sure that you don't get too big a table for size of room you have
because you'll need to leave at least 4 to 5ft free around each
side of the table for using the pool cue. Lastly, if putting a
pool table in a converted loft or attic make sure that the floor
is strong enough to support the table.
Pinball
tables are enjoying something of a resurgence since the dark days of
the late 1990's when almost all pinball manufacturers closed their
doors. The novelty factor of a pinball table is huge, as people
rarely see them anymore. Those players who used to enjoy playing
pinball tables and now struggle to find many tables to play find
that buying their own table is now within their reach.
There
are also an increasing number of buyers who are fans by way of the
theme of the pinball table. For example, many Star Wars or Star Trek
fans lust after the tables based on their favourite series. These
kinds of pinball tables are now even more collectable, due to the
demand not only from pinball fans but also from 'Trekkies', etc.
A
pinball table at home will require much less maintenance than a
commercially used one as the owner of the table is much less likely
to treat it badly and is able to remove the glass and remove
obstructions as soon as they occur, rather than wait for them to
become bigger problems due to burnt out solenoids, etc.
Many
modern CD jukebox manufacturers have been turning their eyes back to
the classic jukebox designs of the 1950's and 60's. The Wurlitzer
jukeboxes with coloured lights and bubble tubes can now be purchased
for use a home on freeplay to play host to your CD collection.
If
you have a retro-theme games-room, or simply want to have the king
of all jukeboxes for your party guests to use, you will not be
disappointed with the machines that are now available. Different
jukeboxes can plug into your existing sound system or be used
via their own speakers.
Unfortunately, as the law stands at the moment we can not supply gambling equipment, such as slot machines, to members of the public even for their own private use. In order to own or operate such equipment a Gaming Licence is required in the UK.
